I recently compiled all of my favorite images from Edmonton weddings that I have photographed over the last 10 years. I wanted to add them to an album for a bridal show. When I selected this one I received a little pushback from my wife. I had to include it because every single time I look at it I laugh. This is exactly the type of couple that I enjoy working with, someone with a sense of humour. Because when it comes to your wedding day, a sense of humour will serve everyone better if you can roll with the punches. There are a few certainties on your wedding day and one of those is that when you get a bunch of guys together that have been friends for a long time they revert back to being teenagers and the jokes and pranks are non stop. If you have a photographer that takes life too seriously they may miss an opportunity like this, or dismiss their ideas as drunken nonsense. These guys had been throwing out suggestions for a while and I finally found an opportunity to utilize their creativity. Without their outgoing personality one of my favorite photos may not have existed.
