Shawn and Teddi were married just outside of Edmonton on a rural property owned by Shawn's grandfather. We love photographing weddings when the area has significance to the couple. Shawn grew up here and spent most of his time with his grandpa so having the wedding here was extra special to him. The wedding took place outdoors with airplanes as a backdrop. Did I mention that the land also doubled as an air strip for personal use? Yes this couple had everything to celebrate their big day. The reception took place inside a tent and had a very cool aviation theme to it. As the night was winding down and we were getting ready to head home this dense fog started to creep in. I asked Shawn and Teddi if they were up for one more series of photos? I couldn't have been more excited when they replied "absolutely!" We proceeded towards the corn field with our off camera flash and created something that still impresses couples when they see it. The sunset colours mixed with the fog created an image that now hangs on their wall.
