From the moment I met Thomas and Madison at Bridal Fantasy I had been envisioning this amazing wedding.
It doesn't get much better than an outdoor ceremony, at the top of a mountain with the famous Three Sisters mountain as a backdrop.
The first snowfall of the year hit just 3 days before the wedding transforming this fairytale wedding into a winter wonderland.
There were several moments when this couple could have decided to have the ceremony inside but everything came to life with the help of the amazing staff at Silvertip. They even asked all the guests to wait inside and stay warm until the bride had arrived.
This venue is set in a picturesque mountain town, Canmore, just 20 minutes outside of Banff Alberta. With the rocky mountains as a backdrop every guest was in awe of their beauty and the bite of the cold weather was quickly forgotten.
Madison thought of everything when it came to planning for an outdoor ceremony. Everything from warm fuzzy shawls for her bridesmaids to blankets for the guests to grab and cuddle up in at the ceremony.
Snow covered the mountain tops and ground. The colours that Madison and Thomas choose for their bridal party were perfect for a winter setting. Madison's soft rose coloured bridal gown stood out from the glistening snow. She looked like a winter princess.
After the ceremony we went to a few locations in Canmore for wedding party photos. The old rail bridge is a well known and well photographed spot, so we wanted to stop there first but decided to use an area that is not often photographed. After that we took a 15 minute drive to spray lakes. We stoped at the top for a beautiful panoramic view. Again, another perfect backdrop for photos.
When we finished the bridal portraits it was time to head back to Silvertip for the grand entrance. Madison and Thomas entered through the patio doors with the mountains and golf course at their back.
The fireplace was going behind the head table to warm the bridal party up.
The meal was catered by Rustica Steakhouse which also shares the building at Silvertip. The food was delicious with many options including salmon, chicken and a tender roast.
When it came time to get the party going Revolution DJ from Calgary, Alberta had everyone on the dance floor.
The whole day was magical and we are so pleased with how the photos turned out.
