When the COVID pandemic swept across the world many weddings were cancelled because of restrictions. Edmonton weddings faced many challenges during this time and it forced couples to implement measures to ensure all their guests health and safety.
André and Vanessa's wedding took place in September and things were starting to open up again. They were extremely lucky as the grooms mother was flying overseas to Edmonton for the first time. Throughout all the weddings we photographed during this time masks were extremely important for us to wear. The church where they had their ceremony made sure to have hand sanitizer available for all the guests. The reception location was great as well insuring that all guests followed the public health measures. The true test when it comes to COVID weddings is usually a few days after to see if anyone became ill from the event. Because of everything this couple did to prevent the spread of an infection there were no positive cases. This was a huge relief for everyone that attended.
